The Organizing and Scientific Committee of the Congress and the FFT medical team have put together an exciting program of international speakers for a 2 day conference near the red clay of Roland Garros. The meeting, November 11 and 12, is a beautiful time of year to visit Paris, and this tournament is always great tennis. This meeting promises to have a very high level of science and knowledge combined with excellent professional tennis. We look forward to seeing you in Paris !!!!! Sincerely, Marc R. Safran, MD |

The 12th World Congress of the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science will be organized for the first time by the FFT (Fédération Française de Tennis) and will be held in Paris on November 10-12 2011 during the PARIS-BERCY Tennis Open Tournament.
We are very grateful to the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science (STMS), and especially its Chairman Dr Marc Safran, for giving us the opportunity to organize this prestigious event. The Congress will bring together health professionals from various national and international federations of the world of tennis as well as many renowned experts in different medical specialities interested in physical activity and sports medicine, and tennis in particular.
The interactive sessions of the high level scientific program developed by the organizing committee, will cover both tennis-related pathology and the health benefits of regular physical activity throughout life. Practical workshops will also enable participants to discover new techniques and novel equipment.
The eminent speakers, as well as the presence of renowned participants from the tennis world, will make this conference, during the Paris Bercy Masters - one of the major tennis tournaments - an event of very great interest for general practitioners and all specialities related to physical activity, including traumatology, cardiology, rheumatology, diabetes, nutrition, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal diseases and pain.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the beautiful City of Paris.
Best regards
